Mica is the youngest daughter in the family and is on a mission to change dogs' lives! Mica is the friendly face you will see often as she facilitates most meet & greets, and manages all reservations and customer communication. She has two rescues of her own, Boda and Paisley.

Jason, a retired battalion chief, his wife Diana, and their 5 dogs started Happy Dog Ranch & Resort inside their home in 2015. The demand for bookings rapidly increased when word spread about the quality care and love dogs received while staying with them. They invested in 40 acres near the lake, so they could provide more dogs with their unmatched care!

Thea, the oldest daughter, is a ray of sunshine dogs love to be around! Her dog Neveah is her world and wins the award for most spoiled doggo. Thea takes her companion on a walk daily, rain or shine. Although you may not see Thea around the ranch, she is one call away when we need veterinary advice.

My favorite things in this world are my family/friends, being an aunt, and animals! I’ve always felt a connection to animals. At 3 years old, I already knew what I was drawn to and felt passionate about. I consider my pets my children and I will do absolutely anything for them. That is the same love and commitment that I carry with me when I care for anyone’s pups. No matter the backstory, no matter the breed, no matter the appearance, I love them all and will always treat them as my own. Every day, I try my best to be the kindness and empathy the world needs <3
